Somos PAC Responds to Unprecedented Donald Trump Indictment
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Somos PAC, the largest independent Latino voter engagement program in the country, released the following statement after former president Donald Trump was indicted by a grand jury in New York on criminal charges:
“It’s clear that even in the days leading up to the 2016 election, Donald Trump was more worried about himself than the people of this country,” said Melissa Morales, Founder and President of Somos PAC. “We deserve real leaders who look out for working people, including hardworking Latinos, not leaders who say and do whatever it takes to look out for themselves time and time again. ¡Ya basta!”
Trump now becomes the first person in U.S. history to serve as president and then be charged with a crime.
