Somos Votantes Responds to President Biden’s State of the Union Address
Washington, D.C. – Today, Somos Votantes, the largest independent Latino voter engagement program in the country, released the following statement after President Biden delivered his third State of the Union Address before the Nation:
“Working families, including hardworking Latinos, are what make the state of our union strong,” said Melissa Morales, Founder and President of Somos Votantes. “Tonight’s address further illustrates how much President Biden and Democrats believe this to be true. While Republicans continue to look out for themselves, the administration has done their part to build an economy that respects working people with lower costs, good-paying quality jobs and the economic opportunities we need to continue building a good life. Moving forward, we will do our part to ensure the vision President Biden outlined becomes a reality for working people everywhere.”
Since taking office, President Biden and Democrats have delivered for hardworking Latinos by creating millions of jobs, lowering costs, expanding access to health care and housing, and putting working families first.
