Somos Votantes & Somos PAC Surpass 1 Million Doors Knocked

Somos Votantes and Somos PAC Have Active Voter Contact Campaigns in Nevada, Arizona and Michigan

WASHINGTON, DC. – Today, Somos Votantes and Somos PAC announced that together the organizations have surpassed 1 million door knocks this cycle in states including Nevada, Arizona and Michigan. Somos Votantes has had active non-partisan programs in each of these states hearing from Latino voters about what policies would make the biggest difference in their lives. Somos PAC’s active programs in each of these states have focused on educating Latino voters about where the candidates stand on the issues that matter to them like lowering the cost of health care, child care and prescription drugs.

“Working families, including Latinos, are struggling to keep up with the cost of living while doing their part to keep our economy going,” said Melissa Morales, Founder and President of Somos PAC. “That’s why we’re talking to voters about Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto, Sen. Mark Kelly and Governor Gretchen Whitmer, candidates who not only care about working families but are fighting to lower costs and ensure they have the tools and opportunities they need to build a better life. We will continue doing our part and won’t stop until the final vote is cast.”

Somos PAC plans to continue knocking on doors and is sending out hundreds of canvassers every day leading up to Election Day, layering those English and Spanish-language conversations with English and Spanish-language mail, TV, radio, digital outreach in addition to other community engagement efforts. Somos PAC launched in 2019 and in 2020 quickly became one of the largest independent Latino voter contact programs in the country, spending $33 million across nine battleground states.

Interviews can be given in both English and Spanish, as requested.
